What next?

Hi All,

just a quick note to say thanks to all those who participated in the ASD training on Monday.  I was blown away by the presenter, Murray Dawson-Smith.  I was not the only one - here are soem transcripts from emails sent;

"thankyou for organising the PD on Monday. I thought Murray was an excellent speaker - he must have been as the time went so quickly! He is obviously passionate about getting the message across that Autistic children cannot control their behaviours and that we have to try to understand 'their world' if we are to help them. I liked the way he mixed a little bit of history about the condition, an insight into how an autistic child thinks with useful strategies to manage, or rather, prevent difficult situations in a classroom setting. A very useful PD to attend and the cream tea was lovely too!"  - Sally
"Thanks for last nights PD session about Autism with Murray Dawson. It gave me heaps to think about and some great strategies to use when I'm teaching an Autistic student." - Justine

thanks Sally and Justine, great to have positive feedback!

"What next??!!" I hear you cry

Monday 19th September - full day PD presented by Margaret Menner  Literacy - Reading Comprehension focused PD in a workshop style

and

Term 3/4 school holidays - Full Day event detailing e5

We must stress at this point that if you book for a place in our PD sessions you must provide 24-48hours notice of cancellation as we need time to inform the next person on out waiting list.  Not informing us at all will result in you not being offered a place on our next PD - it's hard, we know, but for the ASD session alone 13 people were no shows without warning - that's just not fair to others who missed out!
